As part of its commitment to creating shared value within host communities, Blue Falcon Wind Farm, owned and operated by ACCIONA Energía, partnered with Legacy Management Solutions to deliver an intensive Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) programme aimed at strengthening local SMMEs within the Western Cape.
The wind farm forms part of South Africa's renewable-energy sector and the country's commitment to socio-economic development through the REIPPPP. Beyond generating clean energy, the project invests in local economic development by supporting the growth of sustainable local businesses.
Recognising that sustainable enterprise development requires more than once-off training, Legacy implemented a business-acceleration programme combining practical consulting, one-on-one mentorship, strategic advisory, and continuous performance monitoring — developing resilient, investment-ready businesses capable of creating employment, accessing new markets, and participating in renewable-energy supply chains.
